Dusk

This work began as a loose, instinctive exploration of colour and movement rather than a fixed landscape. I built this digital image through soft, translucent photographic layers, allowing blues, greens and ochres to drift into one another, much like light moving across fields under a changing sky. Gentle blurring and sweeping gestures were used to remove detail and encourage the viewer to slow down, read the space emotionally, and find their own horizon within it. The process was deliberately unhurried, valuing intuition, balance and atmosphere over precision.

Fast Land

I created this piece by layering transparent sections of abstract photographs to build a landscape filled with energy and flow. The process allowed light, texture, and colour to overlap, suggesting movement through the scene. Each layer contributes to a sense of shifting space, like watching the land change through a moving window. The final effect captures both the stillness and motion found in nature.

Fleeting Light

By merging different textures, tones, and light sources, I transformed real-world elements into a scene that exists somewhere between reality and abstraction. The soft motion blur and diffused edges give a sense of movement, as if the landscape is in flux, shifting with time and perspective. Through this approach, the composition takes on a rich, atmospheric quality.

Late Summer

I built this piece through layered digital mark-making, slowly blending sweeping strokes of yellow, green, and deep blue to echo the movement of grass and the glow of fading light. Gentle glazing softened the transitions, while repeated broad strokes created a sense of warmth and depth, giving the work that hazy, late-season hum that feels rooted in memory.

Morning Light

I created this landscape by layering abstract photographs of light, capturing soft blurs and vivid colour shifts. Using digital tools, I overlaid the images and adjusted their transparency to build a sense of space and motion. The warm reds and deep blues formed naturally through the process, suggesting a glowing horizon at dusk. I enjoyed how the blending of light alone could evoke the mood of a landscape without any defined forms.

Moving Light

I made this digital painting, building up soft, translucent layers of colour. I worked intuitively, allowing blues, greens and warm yellows to overlap and drift, creating a sense of movement and depth, as if light were passing slowly across a landscape rather than describing it directly.

Still Light

This work was created digitally through a slow, layered process. I began with soft, translucent washes of colour, building up overlapping planes of green, blue, and yellow to suggest rolling land and shifting light. Each layer was adjusted in opacity and gently blended, allowing colours to bleed and settle into one another. Subtle directional marks were then added to create a sense of movement and depth, echoing the way light travels across a landscape rather than describing it literally. The final image balances softness with structure, designed to retain clarity even at a larger scale.

Valley Light

I built this piece through layered digital painting and colour blending. I worked slowly, glazing warm tones over cooler shadows to create a sense of landforms emerging through mist. I softened each layer with transparent strokes, allowing hints of ridges and valleys to settle beneath the surface. I kept the edges loose and atmospheric so the light could breathe, and let the warm wash unify everything — like a landscape remembered rather than seen.
